What have you done well?
Our finished version - within our finished version I feel the music we used fitted the mood and causes viewers to be interested. I also feel we used each camera shot well, this is because I feel they gave a better sense of what was happening i.e. the point of view shot while Connor was on the bed and Alex was over him, showing the dominance and inferior. One of my favourite shots is the CCTV one, I think this gives a sense of Alex being watched, and gives the audience the feel he needs to be watched. This is shown during in the dialogue and following scene due to the aggression he shows.
Planning stage - I feel we planned this well because we all agreed on the storyline of Connor 'stealing' Alex's Kit-Kat leading into a build up. We also all agreed on the on the location and roles causing the planning of our piece to go quickly and smoothly allowing us to start filming as soon as possible.
Time management - The way we managed time was good as we stayed after school for an 1 hour, twice. This allowed us to get a lot of filming and editing done allowing us to be on schedule; only leaving us with a few audio issues to edit just before the deadline. We had this done 30 minutes before the deadline, I feel this is because we all had an equal input in the process of planning, filming and editing and we were all flexible with hours we could do outside of lesson.
Group dynamic - We each had different roles within the project, both Connor and Alex were actors as you can see, however while Connor was not acting he also had a go at filming, this allowed us to have a different person's perspective behind the camera. As Connor and I had a lead role within the filming even though we all had a turn at using Premiere Pro and editing, Alex took the lead in looking for songs and music. Connor and myself also had inputs and took turns at editing, this allowed us to learn how to use the software for our thriller opening.
Using the software - I feel we managed to use the software effectively to what we originally planned to put into the piece, i.e. the CCTV shot, for this we used a black and white filter with a time running across the bottom. It took me a while to understand the software but, after I found my bearings with the programme, I feel I did quiet well finding what we required and also helping others when they asked.
