After watching back our piece and reflecting on the process I would say our areas for development are characterisation, location and audio.
The location was an issue as we decided to film in the medical room, as it fitted our storyline of Connor being injured. However, once we came to film during our media lessons we soon realised that this was an unsuitable location as students interrupted needing medical attention; this soon caused our lessons to become unproductive.
After multiple failed attempts of trying to film during lesson time we decided it would be a lot more productive to film after school, due to this we managed to film all the shots we needed after school in the space of an hour. As this was our first time filming it has taught us to consider where and when we will be filming our main task.
I feel characterisation needed working on as the use of costume, props and acting were very low. Although I am not in the shots I am still able to reflect on this and also my part on commenting on these issues, I did mention about the acting yet was not greatly concerned due to this being our preliminary task. The main issue I feel was the fact it was not clear as to why Connor was in the medical room, as he appeared uninjured, the lack lustre acting also made the piece unengaging.
Audio did not appear to be an issue on Premier Pro, although when we watch back the piece on YouTube it is clear that the levels were poor, particularly the dialogue. Our music levels worked well as it wasn't loud or overpowering, yet when it came to the dialogue it was very hard to hear.
